Build a Sand Castle in the Park

Do you know what Sand Castles in the Park is? It is a day to play in the sand for all ages. It celebrates Kids to Parks Day. Sand Castles in the Park will be held at Goodyear Community Park on May 20 from 8 to 10 a.m. The park is located at 3151 N. Litchfield Rd., Goodyear.

Guylene Ozlanski, Arts and Culture Coordinator for the City of Goodyear says, “Art in the Park is a new program in 2017.” There will be multiple activities taking place that day. At the sand castle activity, sand will be placed in 15 small plastic pools. There will be tools and water to help shape these sculptures. Ozlanski says all supplies will be provided. The only thing you need to bring is your creativity, she says. It will take hundreds of pounds of sand to do this event. For more information about Art in the Park, you can visit the website
